L'abbaye de la Victoire au XIIIe siècle
par Mme Alice GAFFARD
Created in 1862, and officially recognised as an institution of public interest in 1877, the Society is devoted to historical and archeological studies on the city of Senlis and its neighbouring countryside, and to the conservation of monuments, documents and artifacts.
Historical volumes and yearly memoirs have been published uninterruptedly since 1862.
Contributions to the Senlis museum have also been a permanent feature; the latest are finds from the temple in the Halatte forest dating back to the Roman Empire: a full size statue and numerous coins and ex-votos.
